Everything is *still* a remix

Independent filmmaker Kirby Ferguson has been putting out a series of video essays on different aspects of how everything original is actually recycled from something else. In the first episode of “Everything is a Remix,” he focused mostly on rock music, while his second installment dealt with movies, his prime examples there ranging from Star Wars to Kill Bill. Now he’s finished the third volume in what will ultimately be a four-part series, and it’s once again a beautifully polished, impeccably edited, and convincingly argued essay on the topic of historical influence on innovation.
